Jenny Bowers, MA (online)
Jenny Bowers earned her Master in Professional Counseling from Liberty University and is working towards licensure in the state of Virginia.
She has worked at CCS since 2013 with ladies journeying through depression, anxiety, grief and loss, stress, balance, marital/family struggles, past hurts, chronic illness, perfectionism, boundaries, ministry struggles, and spousal porn use.
Jenny is certified in Prepare-Enrich (a pre-marital/marital therapy program) and A.S.I.S.T. Suicide Prevention. Her counseling experience includes work with K-12 students in an alternative school, individual therapy, and groups on Boundaries, Grief, Personal Identity, and Balance. She has served in the United States and abroad in ministry and mentoring settings for over 10 years, including work with pastor's wives, ministry families, and third-culture kids.
Jenny believes in building a strong therapeutic relationship with clients and using this relationship as a foundation for effective therapy. In her online sessions, she uses technology and online resources to enhance individual sessions. She approaches therapy from a holistic, cognitive-behavioral standpoint and also integrates reality and solution focused concepts. She views the counseling relationship as a partnership where clients actively learn about themselves, take steps to heal past wounds, and set attainable goals for the future. Jenny also believes that God is a vital part of the growth process and integrates practical, Scriptural truths into sessions for those clients desiring it.
