Does my health insurance plan cover treatments provided by CCS?
Psychotherapy services provided through CCS are typically covered by insurance. We are in network with employer and marketplace insurance plans; we do not participate with Medicaid. We currently have a variety of providers connected with Aetna, Anthem, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Cigna, Humana Military Tricare, Medicare, Meritain Health, Optum, Optima, Piedmont Community Health Plan (PCHP), and United Healthcare. The best way to find out what your plan offers for coverage is to contact our Office Manager and benefits administrator at (434) 602-8557. No Insurance? We have self pay and resident rate options for you.
How does CCS accept payment for services?
All clients are expected to pay for services at the time of your appointment. This includes any amounts owed for deductible, co-insurance, copay, and self-pay. For evening and weekend appointments, when paying via electronic format, your card on file will be charged the day of or within 48 hours after your session. We accept cash, check, debit/credit, HSA and FSA payment formats.
When are appointments available with a CCS counselor?
Counselors offer flexible scheduling days and times that are convenient for our clients. We have appointment availability Monday through Friday, including early morning and evening hours. Saturday hours are also available with select counselors. Contact our Office Manager at (434) 602-8557 for more information.
Is my privacy protected by CCS?
Absolutely! Your connection with Christian Counseling Services is held in the strictest confidence. CCS has a fully HIPAA compliant operating system that we use for all account and record keeping purposes. We cannot acknowledge you as a patient to anyone unless you authorize us to do so via a HIPAA Authorization for release-of-information. However, there are limitations to confidentiality when the safety of our clients and providers is concerned. Please refer to our Notice of Privacy Practices at your first appointment and discuss this with your counselor or our Office Manager if you have additional concerns.
