Michelle Smith, M.Ed, LPC, RPT, NCC, ACS

Michelle Smith is licensed as a professional counselor in Virginia since 2015 and received her M.Ed. in Counselor Education at Lynchburg College in January 2013.  She is a registered play therapist and came to Christian Counseling Services with four years of experience working with at-risk children, adolescents, and families through a non-profit organization. 

Michelle’s specialization in play therapy is helpful when dealing with any type of trauma, anxiety, depression, and grief, but she is also versed in other counseling modalities proved effective with diverse populations. 

Michelle thoroughly enjoys working with college students and view their journey into adulthood as most critical.  Michelle works with all ages and enjoys helping others reach their full potential as well as gain peace and clarity from their past.  Michelle is also a National Certified Counselor (NCC) as well as an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS).

Christian Counseling Services can provide the appropriate therapy compatible with your needs.  At CCS, therapy is a collaborative process where you and your therapist form a working relationship that is designed to facilitate change and growth during times of transitional, emotional or psychological distress.
