Our Counselors

Jenny Bowers, MA

Jenny Bowers earned her Master in Professional Counseling from Liberty University and is currently working towards her licensure in the state of Virginia.

Her previous counseling experience includes individual and group work with K-12 students in an alternative school, as well as individual and marital therapy with clients throughout the life span. Jenny has also worked with teenagers and young adults for nearly a decade in small groups and individual mentoring. Prior to completing her graduate degree, she and her husband led college and high school students on overseas mission trips around the globe.

Jenny has experience working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, healthy boundaries, perfectionism, self-image, guilt, eating disorders, anger, ADHD, sexual abuse, marital issues, and developmental issues. She is certified in Prepare-Enrich (a pre-marital/marital therapy program) and A.S.I.S.T. Suicide Prevention. Jenny believes in building a strong therapeutic relationship with clients and using this relationship as a foundation for effective therapy. She approaches therapy from a holistic, cognitive-behavioral standpoint and also integrates reality and solution focused concepts. She views the counseling relationship as a partnership where clients actively learn about themselves, take steps to heal past wounds, and set attainable goals for the future. Jenny also believes that God is a vital part of the growth process and integrates practical, Scriptural truths into sessions for those clients desiring it.
