Larry completed a Bachelor of Science Degree from Fairmont State University majoring in Sociology and Psychology.  He earned a Master of Science Degree from West Virginia University majoring in Rehabilitation Counseling.  Larry is a Licensed Professional Counselor {LPC} in Virginia and West Virginia.  He also holds national certification as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor {CRC}.

J. Paul Marks, D. Min., MA, LPC

Dr. Paul Marks is trained in counseling, theology and psychology. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 1994 followed by two Master degrees in Religion and Christian Theology in 1998. He also completed his Doctor of Ministry degree in Pastoral Counseling in 2007.

Whitney Smith, M.Ed., MA, LPC

Whitney Smith is licensed as a professional counselor in Virginia since 2013. She holds two graduate degrees: M.A. in Professional Counseling and M.Ed. in Middle Grades Education. In addition, she serves as a clinical trainer for Liberty University’s Center for Counseling and Family Studies.  Her experience includes: codependency and boundary issues, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and childhood trauma. Beth Ulrich joined the practice of Christian Counseling Services in October 2008 with over thirty years experience in outpatient as well as inpatient settings. She is currently the Program Manager for the Amherst and Appomattox Counseling Centers of the Central Virginia Community Services Board where she works with seriously and chronically mentally ill individuals.

Michelle Smith is licensed as a professional counselor in Virginia since 2015 and received her M.Ed. in Counselor Education at Lynchburg College in January 2013.  She is a registered play therapist and comes to Christian Counseling Services with four years of experience working with at-risk children and adolescents through a non-profit organization.

Ryan Vaughn MA, LMFT, LPC

Ryan Vaughn is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Licensed Professional Counselor. With over 7 years of experience working with families Ryan believes that families/individuals want to be successful and thrive. Ryan’s core belief is that the breakdown of the family precipitates dysfunction in the individual. Tammy has over 30 years of business and administrative experience working in the public and private sector. She has been part of and led small groups and ministries during this time. She has been married for 30 years and has 4 children and 3 grandchildren. 



Rachel Rapp

Rachel is a 2015 graduate of Liberty University, with a degree in Psychology a focus in Human Development and Counseling with hopes to one day become a counselor herself. She has experience in a variety of workplaces and is now pursuing her Masters Degree. Growing up in a military family, as the eldest of four brothers, her faith has become the most important thing in her life and helps her strive toward her career, family, and personal goals.
